'Drifting Leaves Photoimagining' is the website of Colin Killick.

I am from Australia, though I currently reside in Shanghai, China.

A childhood interest in geology led me to graduate with a science degree with first class honours from the Australian National University and  a Ph.D. from Macquarie University. Along the way I also picked up a Diploma of Management; a Diploma of Education; and an Arts degree.
While at university I became active in outdoor sports, such as hiking, caving, cross-country skiing and canyoning. I've hiked in many places including Torres del Paine in Chile; Yosemite in the USA; the Inca Trail in Peru; and the Dusky Track in New Zealand.
Eventually I joined the New South Wales National Parks and Wildlife Service, where I worked in various positions for 25 years, finishing my career as Area Manager in Griffith, Western New South Wales. During the course of my employment I was awarded the National Medal for my work in bush fire management.

I left that organization to accompany my wife, Wendy, on a three year posting to Moscow from 2011 to 2014, where she was attached to the Australian Embassy. My observations of Moscow and Russia can be found in my blog - click on the tab above.

I am living in Shanghai from 2018 to 2021, where Wendy works at the Australian Consulate.

A good part of my time these days is spent on digital art. I have had several images published in the international 'Living the Photoartistic Life' magazine and I have been a featured artist in 'Artists Down Under' magazine. I was a winner in the 2017 Fusion Art International Photography Exhibition.
